  • The note card must come from Mrs. Ferris in order to be used on the final exam. NO EXCUSES will be accepted.

  • Final a partner
  • Switch papers
  • Pull up the Rubric below
  • Read the paper you have
    • Make sure it follows the format provided in the Rough Draft
    • Look for errors in grammer or spelling
    • Make suggestions in the margins
    • SIGN it at the end (this is worth points so make sure I can read it)
  • Trade papers back
  • Staple everything together in the following order--Essay, Rough Draft, Notes
  • Turn it into the basket behind the first letter of your LAST name

    • If it isn't in, it will not be included in your grade

Thursday, May 5th

  • Rough Draft
    • Using the Rough Draft Form, begin your essay


    • You must fill this in completely and email it to Mrs. Ferris at the end of class
      • If you prefer, you can get a paper copy from Mr. Gold and complete it on these and turn it into the basket by the end of the hour
    • 5th Hour--Make sure to turn off all computers at the end of the hour

    • You must go to www.voki.com, create an account (by clicking REGISTER), create a Voki, make a commercial for your Voki to say about your cereal/snack and publish/share it to Mrs. Ferris
    • You do not have to use the commercial you turned in for your project
    • You must work alone on this project

Wednesday, April 13th

    • Get your Project
    • Get a Rubric
    • Come to Mrs. Ferris and present what you have and your commercial
    • This will be done in the back of the room and meetings will start 10 minutes into the start of class (10:15, 11:10, 12:50)

Tuesday, April 12th

  • You must present your commercial to Mrs. Ferris (to be timed) and you must finish your project
  • Pace yourself
  • Make sure you get in to present your commercial so you don't lose points

Monday, April 11th

  • YOU ARE NOT TO WORK ON YOUR ART stuff today! DO NOT get out the supplies
    • You will have time on Tuesday to complete this part of the assignment
  • Based on the Cereal Name and Design you chose, you are going to create a commercial for your product
  • Write a script that will use at least 3 of the techniques from your notes (there are 10 and you have 1 because of your character).
  • Scripts are to be TYPED in 12pt, Times New Roman font
  • Use ALL CAPS
  • Make sure to explain what is said, who is in it and what will be happening----this is radio not TV so no one can SEE you, you have to paint the picture for those who are hearing it.
  • Using Google to find a stopwatch and time it
  • Commercials must be 30 seconds when read
  • If you have a partner you only need 1 script
  • Email your completed script by the end of class
    • Points will be deducted for scripts that are not sent on Monday
    • Do not waste time on this
  • 5th Hour---Please make sure all the computers are shut down or it will be miserable hot in here on Tuesday
